Cemetery Tidy-Ups

On the first Sunday of every month the Friends’ diaries bear the legend “cemetery tidy-up”. The hardy souls amongst us meet at the cemetery at 10.30am to weed and prune the entrance bed as required, dewhisker trees along the avenues, remove litter, etc. We also have help from John and his trusty saw who, along with Peter Lloyd, is gradually clearing a jungle-like area to reveal a group of headstones hidden for many years.
Thanks to the stalwarts, especially Margaret & Peter Lloyd, Sarah & David Burdett and Ken Wheeler. Not forgetting Angela Urban, Margaret Prior and Val McNamee.
